Rapid Literacy is the idea of David Sievers, a Mild/Moderate Special Education Teacher. His goal is to simplify effective reading instruction.

For 20 years David has taught Special Education on the elementary and high school levels, in both public and charter schools, as a classroom teacher, co-teacher, and virtual teacher. He has taught General Education and Moderate/Severe students in addition to Mild/Moderate students.

He has had training in the Wilson, Orton-Gillingham, and Read 180 reading programs.

Rapid Literacy is designed as a bridge between phonics and whole-language reading instruction, where students not only see their skills grow every day, but also discover the joy of creativity and self-expression while rapidly learning how to read.
